Nicki began piano lessons at age 5 and still studies today with Sylvia Jenkins of
Nice, France. Her teachers have included Junita White (Durham, NC), Robert Turner
(Santa Monica, CA), Kaziko Yayami (Julliard School, NY), Peter Vincent Marlotti
(Santa Rosa, CA) and the late Julian White (Berkeley, CA). Nicki has been teaching
piano privately for thirty years concurrent to her work in the visual arts. She
performs locally, primarily two piano repetiore and chamber music. Two pianos
in the house has been a priority.

Nicki was a founding member of the Sebastopol Salon Series, a bimonthly house
concert series of instrumental and vocal chamber works. She is currently a member of Sonoma County's unusual Twenty Fingers Club, an active and enthusiastic group performing duo-piano and duet literature six times a year since 2000.

Exploring and performing two piano repetoire has led to the San Francisco Music festival (www.sfmf.org), an international duo piano summer festival housed at the San Francisco Conservatory of music (www.sfcm.org).
